Even a Broken Clock is Right Twice a Day

The truth of a lie
is the lie of a truth
You can not see something until you know what it is
When we believe something that is not truth it is because we need to at that time
And when we find the lie in what we believe to be truth
Then we know truth

Sounds like a tongue twister however it is only twisted truth
Our jobs, our hearts work, our brains truth is to untwist the twisted
And speak the truth to ourselves so that we could go on

To tell ourselves that someone doesn't like us is our perception
Is it on a day we don't like ourselves
To tell ourselves we can't get this job or that car or live in that house
Is it that we do not believe we deserve to have what we love
To tell ourselves that nothing good happens to us
Is it that we don't want it to and we got use to living in the "nothing for me" mode?
The "there is nothing I can do about it" mode?

And then we turn every situation into why this or that could not happen
And we trap another soul into listening to us

What if we turned our thoughts into telling ourselves, I am doing this on purpose
I don't want myself to succeed, but why?
If I succeed then will I be accountable to live up to other goals and things I have wanted
Am I scared to fail at what I was wishing for, so I keep it away by saying I have tried, but.....

I found myself saying this many times in these past weeks,
Even a broken clock is right twice a day
Take a chance on yourself
Start with the little things first
And then build it, one thought at a time
Take what is right and do it
And take what you fear and try it
No one needs to know
Just you and your efforts
And let your efforts teach you
And have patience to teach yourself
And then share it with another
And let yourself explain it
And then you will have trust
Trust in your abilities
And as your abilities grow
You will be capable
And No will be answered with Why not?
Why not you!
Your love is your strongest emotion
Let it live in it's stride, don't accept your own lie's
The one's you have gotten used to and forgot they are lie's
They become truths that are not truth
And you know better than that
Take your lies that became truth
And live in the truth of what you lay before you
No matter what, you will never shortchange yourself in truth

Peek and Peak

We are the avenue, the path, the bridge to use the knowledge that we already have
People don't so much need answers, they need means
Means of the mind to capture a method to develop our knowledge
Knowledge we already have

That is why we know things and we can not apply them to our lives
So we think we need a new book, tape, teacher
Really we are just looking for a way to get our knowledge and our actions to work together
To produce for us
To teach us we even have a way to our knowledge
It is an unleashing that never ends once a person can see themselves taking on their knowledge
Like anything we do, once we do it once, we have a path to do it twice
The old "I don't know or have time" doesn't work anymore

We get to live a lifetime building knowledge and finding a way to apply it
We already know and have heard a lifetime of answers
And we keep asking questions, trying to find a way to use our answers
Action is motivation
Once you start anything, your brain carries you the rest of the way

Trust your capabilities and your capabilities will in turn trust you
It is in your hands, your soul, your desires
To turn anything into something
Don't ask what should I do here or there,
Simply ask yourself
What would love do?

The Guessing Game of Relationships

What is it about relationships that keeps us guessing?

Is it that we want them too bad?

Is it that we are not sure what to do or say?

How could we be so sure in other area's of our lives and then not in a relationship?

It stems from us simply not being sure about being loved

We are not sure how it looks or feel like we can relax in it

We feel like it takes time for us to be "ourselves" rather than just being ourselves

It is funny how we judge ourselves before anyone has a chance to judge us

We know what it is like when we meet someone

And they are relaxed and because of that, we are attracted to them

They don't have to "act" relaxed, they just are

You don't even care what they look like or what they are wearing

You are attracted to their comfort with themselves that you will love initially and grow to love more along the way

We think it is what we wear that day or circumstances, when we say, this happened and I was just...meaning you were caught off guard just being yourself

Our instincts attract us to each other when we are real

When we are not relaxed within ourselves, we try to control the outside of us

Moments of thinking we have won something

We don't win anything for long if we are not true to our lives and live in the truth of us

I know there is so much to be said for physical appearance

At least initially

And for a great car, or home

At least until you own it

Or a wonderful job,

As long as you love it

However we tend to forget those things when we are not feeling great

And use those things when we feel on top of our game

Yet you are not a game

You are a person

Whose heart is attractable and loving

And could stand on it's own if you let it

And could bring to you all that you want, if you let it

We can not control with our things what to bring to us from others

We can simply be us and attract others who like the us of us

And we can breath in the moments that teach us it is OK to think cleanly

And greater even to live in the life with the lights on

And to feel accepted no matter what

The only time we are not accepted is when we do not accept ourselves

Compassion for yourself is the foundation of love of you

And the love of you is the love that brings others to you

Everyone loves to feel love, and when you feel it, you can see it too!

Father's Days

Daddy doesn't know that I notice everything he does

His ways become mine

His thoughts are my first

His heart is open to me

Even when it closes the door to everything else

He reminds me that he cares about me

Even when he is not sure how to care for himself

Daddy doesn't know that I love him without question

We don't tell Dad's as much

It isn't what people do

Dad I love you

I love when you barbecue

I love when you give me a ride

Even when I act like you have to

I miss the moments when I really wanted to listen to you

And I thought you just didn't want me to do something, I can't remember now what it was

I thank you for the moments you took the time

To just let me know how things go

So that I would know

Being a couple doesn't mean you have to know everything

Charity's Soulstice

Charity is known for it's largeness

organizations reaching out to as many people as can be reached, and helped

Charity has become the new focus

The hope of us all

Where the ones who have time and means come together

And those who have service have an outlet

And those who need help have a place

And those who want to help have a place

And then there is the charity of our souls

They are the us's that have some angers

That no one is around

And then when we need it

We can see it

When someone smiles at us

We feel loved

And when someone opens our door we feel noticed

And when someone says a simple hello

We can be turned around in a moment

The charity of us

Is knowing we can live together

And charity is proof of that

And Love can be felt in it

And reasonings aside, when we know there is a cushion, we most of the time don't even need it

It is just knowing it is there

And we are settled enough to succeed

When someone can say

A simple "you can do it"

you can

When your mind can see it

You have a path

And when you have taken the first step you stop counting steps

The first acts of charity are from us to ourselves

And then it gives to us knowledge to know what it could possibly mean

to have a cushion

And that cushion is for the success of all your idea's and thoughts

The greatest charity of us is to know we are the cushion

The cushions of charity give to us the springboards of life

And life can only be more interesting as we are supported by ourselves

And cheered onto the understandings of it's propellations of all of us

Giving back is the greatest act of charity

Learning to receive is the greatest way of knowing

That there has never been giving back alone

Everything we do is multifaceted and all souls win when there are thoughts of all of us succeeding

Charity is a way of thought, a mind set that is in all of us

You can do it, you have done it, and then you can do it for another

The torches are no longer for family alone

Family understands it needs the block

And then we get it that we matter

We see that what we do touches

Self love's appearance has been manipulated by the human mind
for it is giving the human mind the ego's version of self love
which is to out do anything from yourself, to all souls that you encounter

So simple is the truth
And so complicated is the mind when it wants to realign truths to convince itself of it's truth
The truth of truth settles and all the rest of it leaves us with questions

Truth in self love is to understand the value of love itself
For once a soul can feel love of itself it can offer it to others

You can not offer a meal of meat and potatoes
if you do not have meat or potato's in your possession

Fear of love does not have a place in eternity
Fear is the driver of a car with no engine
You simply can not drive the car

There is nothing to lose in love unabated
Freedom to speak from your heart so you could feel and be felt
Love enough to say, yes, that happened and I have learned
Compassion enough to tell yourself, I will do right by you
It calms the heart to know you are present
That you are there for you
Then you can share you, have meat and potatoes for dinner, and recognize love as it finds it's way to you

Ego's Friendly Fire

We all hear about the bombings of Iraq, of Palestine
And we think to ourselves, it's OK because they are terrorists
We all can see their devastation and we say, it is OK, they kill people for their religion
We all see the mothers cry and we think they are different mothers
The brothers in search of survival
The sisters in search of a future
The grandparents unable to protect
And the parents unable to make a living
Education is scarce and interrupted
And it is all OK because they are Arabs
Because they are Muslims
Because they do not deserve what everyone else in the world deserves
Not even protection
Not even foods
Not even entertainment
Or shopping for clothes
Not even ovens
Not even refrigerators
Not even water in some of their regions
They should be lucky we call them people
For in our hearts we equate them to animals
Yet we do not dare to speak it in words
Instead we take it on in actions
And bombings
The Palestinians were simply living on the wrong land
That is the foundation of that issue altogether
What they have become as a result of that, is uneducated, underfed, waterless, humans
The Iraqis happen to live on an oil rich land
This is the foundation of that issue altogether
We all know if Iraq traded kumquats
They would still have their country
Uninterrupted by others greed and motivations
Afghanistan is added in to take on the footprint of doing so
Iran is a threat because they may advance in knowledge's
Yet other countries do so unabated
And we all stand by and take away their humanness
Simply so we can sleep at night believing they deserve it
We starve ourselves as we starve others
We hurt ourselves as we hurt others
We pretend that is not truth either
The real truth is that you can attract more bee's with honey than with vinegar
We simply choose the vinegar
We simply want to believe we are better than others
We want to use others for our own perceived joy
The world watches and we as people reach out to the poor
And our leaders reach out for money
The monies it takes to kill others and control them
Could repair our worlds ecology, economy, and love
And WE got to this place that speaks we do not want that
We want love on our terms, not God's
We want as much money as we can get our hands on and leave others to watch in awe
We let ego run our world
Greed motivate our decisions
And Stature giving us the power to do so
And we are finding power in our hands is not a good thing
We steal with it, we use for it, and we fear losing it
To believe there is anything good to come out of self motivation
Is the perception that speaks I am greater than you
I am better than you
Because I am able to control you with who I am
It is a reflection of not caring, being unkind and losing sight along a path that dead ends
Eternal paths bring growth to souls
And we have made decisions that it is only "some souls"
As God Almighty speaks, we are one: however, one means some in our world
We say we believe in God, in forgiveness, in truth and in trust
Yet we have not understood the meanings of love yet
Love is love is love
To think it is a game of elimination is to eliminate all of us in one way or another

What Money Has Done To Us

It has caused us to require car insurance rather than health insurance

It has brought to us credit cards without any sense of prudence to teach us to desire before we can even feel

It has told us some people are better than others

It has given to us measurement that are not balanced or fair

It has made selling drugs more profitable than teaching children

Working extra rather than raising our children

It has brought out things instead of our time

It has made a car worth more than a home

It has made a home the cost it would be to feed many starving people

It has given our environment a back seat

It has turned talks into a waste of time

It has made buying things we could easily do easier

We let money take over and over it did

It makes us nervous when we are not sure if we have enough of it

When we are not sure it will make us look good, or good enough

It causes friction when we are around those who have too much of it, or not enough of it

It has caused a great line in the sand as to where you can shop, eat, sleep and what resources are available to us

It has taught us to be happy for now and not think about tomorrow

It has only brought much worry and question to our motivations

It is trying to replace happiness

Yet money is just money

It is not a person, it can not feel, nor can it give or take

Money is the energy we put into it

For a day we can put money aside and follow the flow of the day

We can bring a lunch and walk somewhere rather than drive

We can wash our clothes and clean our rooms

We can finish a job rather than going out and buying something to feel like we did something

We can cook at home, even if we eat a little later

We can prepare things that we would normally pay for

We can forget how much we have of it and think about how much we have of us

And then we can choose life over money and money will be the tool that it is

Not the medicine for every hidden aliment

Money is something for all of us to live, and it is relative to where and how we live

WE are the person we are, we came without it and we leave without it

We are here to live and it is one of the ways to accomplish our tasks

Look at it that way and it becomes logical to have it and it won't scare us so much

It will teach us all the ways people try to get it, steal it, hurt others for it and understand

That it is only a thing that has only the power we give to it

So release what you need and simply say, I need this, no waiting, no fear

And you will grow yourself out of the control of money into the flow of life

Money is money and you are you

They are separate and we all know when push comes to shove, money can not buy you love

The Lie and The Truth

Lie: Hello Truth, tell me about yourself

I am The Lie

I am the opposite of you

Truth: I am here all the time

And sometimes no one can see me

I stand out in a crowd and people walk around me

I am present at every meeting

And no one talks about me

I am in every conversation

Without mention at times

I feel unloved and do not get much attention at all

To tell you the truth, at times I am jealous of you lie

People get excited when they talk about you, at least for a moment

Lie: Yes, but it makes them feel bad and then they don't like me so much

Truth: But at least you get honorable mention in political events

Lie: Yes, but then they write about me in the papers the next day and they question me

Truth: Oh...And then what?

Lie: Then the person who is found out gets in trouble

And then they say they want nothing to do with me

They say they hate me because I make them hate themselves

Truth: Hate?

Lie: Yes, I have to use that word

I hear it all the time

Truth: Well, I guess not being talked about or mentioned isn't so bad

At least when they find out about me it solves things

Lie: Yes, and you get to stay who you are, Truth

When they find out about me, they deny they ever knew me

They try to make up stories and they throw me to the wind

Some die by me, but they are fewer and fewer

since they claim their heads feel better without me

Truth: Oh...I have nothing left to say...The truth is, you can't change me

I am what I am, and I never really change

All I wanted was some recognition

Now I feel like I don't need it so much

I am already happy

I guess I just wanted to be remembered

Lie: Oh, Truth, they will remember you,

They have to

Otherwise no one would sleep or enjoy their meals

No one would have friendships or partners of any kind

A child wouldn't have anyone to talk to without you

Truth you serve a purpose

When people find out about you, they can't live without you

Being a lie is just a lie

I am not really here

I just think I am

I am not real and nothing about me is

You are stronger than me

You last longer than me

Thank you truth, now I can rest

I will try not to let others use me so much

I think it is your turn now so we can undo the troubles that I did

I think I can change my ways

My Broken Window

Today was a good day

Not everything I wanted to happen happened

My car got hit by a baseball

And now I have no back window

I couldn't believe it

I walked around and everyone in the field was looking at me

Waiting for my reaction

To see what I would do

What was I to do?

I was the owner of the lucky car

That all the kids would remember forever

That the boy who hit the foul ball

Shattered a car window

And it brought everyone together

Just to talk about it

Even the one's that don't talk so much

Out of amazement and shock

Laughing nervously thanking God it wasn't their car

And the manager of the home team ran up to me

And give me the news that they are insured and I will be taken care of

And the boy that hit my car didn't have to feel so bad

My broken window joined together two teams, all their parents and the kids memories forever

My broken window gave me the eyes to see

My broken window made the world clearer to me

That is Clair, as in Clean Air

It is us when we take care of what we have inside enough to have space to breath

And take in a moment

And recognize that "Yes, I am happy right now"

This is what I have been working towards and planning for

It is here right now and if I don't stop and recognize it now

When will I?

It is us when we feel free enough to know some things will never be done

And we can live with that

That some things are meant to finish and that was their purpose

That change is why we are here

And growth is a good thing

It is us when we know what we know and we rest with it

That we don't know what we don't know

And that is OK too

It is us breathing and in our breaths

Feeling alive enough

To say "thank you" to ourselves

For taking care of us for so long

Through all we have been through

And trust we know enough to continue

And look forward to

And stop racing towards

however, living within

All that is in life

Without the strings of 'not now' attached to everything

It is about truth in our hearts that life is open to us

As we learn to open ourselves to what it offers

A Mama's Love

My child you are a soul

A soul all your own

I thought you were mine for a long, long time

And then you began to grow

I found you had talents all your own

Different favorite colors and foods

Different ways you dance and speak

Interests I never heard of

Patience I could not conceive

And a renewed appreciation for peanut butter

You reminded me how good vanilla ice cream is

And that I could eat it and chase you for hours and never feel stuffed

You expanded all that I know

I live my childhood again with you, in a way I remember the best of me

Your heart loving me, when I am not so sure about how things are in the world

And I know the world has a great chance

Just because I know you, and you are part of our world

My love that I could never give enough of

My love that understands it's existence with you

My love that taught me eternal love

My soul that wants to preserve your love of self, of me

Without compromising your love of learning,

I thank God for the wisdom to know this while I have you, while you can here

How Could You?

How could we know something and not do it if we think we want to
Like say something we would love to speak and we do not
Eat what is better for us than other things
Do the work we want to do rather than carry the burden of 'I'll do it later"

How could we feel something and not act on it

I have been wanting to do that my whole life

My whole life I never went to, ate at, tried this

I have always loved him, her, them and never said anything

How could we live life and not do what we desire

As though someone took it away from us and told us we can't

We are the only person stopping us from doing what we think about doing

We are the only person who can say no to us

If someone else were to say no to us, that would be the very thing we would want to do

Why is it when there is something nice or rewarding that we put it off

And we live in the have to's

I have to do this because...

Let the good in, what ever your good is

Let your wants seep in without guilt

Replace guilt with love

Guilt is a manmade emotion

Love is understanding and compassion

When you are happy, those around you are happier

When you are happy you have much more to give and share

When you are not, you get angry at others much faster

When you are happy the world becomes a plate of appetizers and some huge meals

When you are happy saying yes is easier than saying no to yourself

Do what makes you happy

Take a day off to hear yourself think

Eat well, it is as easy and tasty as it is to not eat well, only you will feel better at the end of the day

Go for a drive and put on older music and live in how far you have come for a moment

Go to an ocean, mountains, open land and enjoy the vastness that puts us all in perspective

Remember the moments of your life that were big transitions to change and how you were successful

Take on that you have a life, a ticket to be on Earth and to live on Earth

That means you are a person too

And that is what people do

They take part, invent, reinvent, attempt, reattempt, have issues and solve them, have jobs and change them, have children and are changed by them

We are all in the same race

The race to grow older and complain about our age

Yet our age is our right to say

I have done that and my experiences have made me more sure to try as I understand

I say to anyone

How could you take the joy out of your own life?

Find the pockets of joy in your heart and open the paths to let them be

Slowly at first

More as you are use to it

As it will become you to live in joy

As it grows into solidity

And becomes you, your soul, who you are

Who you are is all you have and all we see

Waiting becomes a mindset

One Size Fits All

We seem to love it when people....

Are vulnerable because then we can help them

Are telling the truth because then we can deal with them

Are having fun because then we can join them

Are talking to each other, because then we can hear life

Are anticipating since we will anticipate with them

Are healing so then we can cheer them on

Are involved in sports for then we can route for them

Are sharing an experience, as it gives us a forum

We seem to care more when people are...

Hurt

Honest

Happy

Speaking

Healing

Playing

and Sharing

Life is about involvement and we say this everyday by what we are attracted to

And when we get stuck in wanting things, we tend to forget about others and that we all want the same things

Instinctively we attract to our truth

It is not natural for us to want things first

So we are not attracted to those who do

A heart is a heart no matter who it is in

Love is a feeling we all chase

And character is something we all have

Truth is our freedom

And respect is our path

The Kid in Me Can See

When we were kids we made wishes
Now we call them dreams
When we were kids we said thank you
Now it is something we get back to
When we were kids there were long summer days
And now we don't get a chance to buy summer clothes before the season ends

When we were teenagers
We thought we could change the world
Now we just say that is the way it is
There is nothing we can do
When we were teenagers
We could easily see what is wrong
even if we didn't have a solution
When we were teenagers
We want to marry the first person we fall in love with
And then we learn what it means to actually marry
When we were teenagers
We fought for our rights
Simply because it may have meant we got to do something or not


When we finish college or start working
We say we are going to buy a car, a house, a dog
We are going to get a job, get married, settle down


Then we have a job, get married, have a child, buy a house
We grow a new respect that our parents actually have done these very things
And what it meant to them, how it got there before we came along, and that they are only people too


And then we stop growing, talking about how things use to be
Yet the current moments are just as important as the "old" times we speak of
A birthday passes and we don't want to speak our age
A birthday passes and we want it not to come
WE forget that we get to be each age for one year
No matter what age it is
Let it be and take on the years

That gives us all hope that our age is an accomplishment
That our research and growths have given back to us longevity to share
To share our wisdom's and our resilience
A soul truly does not know how old it is without the evidence of it's own body
A soul is ageless as love is endless and life is eternal
As we can see the good parts we create them
Retrain your eyes, reroute your mind and follow your heart
Create you as you see
And you will teach what you are
And live within your truth!

Soul Talking

When something tells me I should walk away and I stay
When something tells me I should speak on it and I say nothing is wrong
When something tells me to do it and I don't
When something tells me to stop and I won't
When something tells me to try it and I say another time
When something tells me to say I love you and I wait
When something tells me to ask for help, I try harder to do it myself
When someone says I look great, I say no I don't

When my soul speaks, I say thank you for the compliment
When my soul speaks, my heart opens, my chances are clear and my will is stronger than me
When my soul speaks, I see, hear, touch and feel with a person who is my partner and that is me
When my soul speaks, I see, hear, touch and feel you
When my soul speaks, it calls us all to attention
When my soul speaks, it is attractable and attractive
When my soul speaks, it is the freedom of me
When my soul speaks, it is louder than US and we all touch it

Expectation Rewind

When you do the unexpected you get the unexpected
What did you expect?
You can not get something different if you continue to try the same way to get it
You can only get something different if you do something different
Sounds so simple
Yet we will try to do things again and again with greater amounts of control to "control" the outcome
When the other outcomes can't happen if with control, they can only happen with openness to them
Try saying something different
Like when you feel yourself coming onto a situation where you could say something nicer
Do it
Like when you feel like you want to ask your children, what were you thinking?
You might say, what was your intention?
Like when someone says something mean to you, instead of fighting back,
Say, I know you didn't mean that, you must be angry about...
Like when you are already mad and you find yourself at the point of being mad at anyone,
Tell yourself, anyone is a moving target right now, so am better off not speaking at all when I feel like this
Never to forget, one of the most unexpected things to do, to grow patience with,
Is simply to not say anything at all
Silence is a language all in itself
Silence lets the other person see what they are up to
And provide a strength to the person who is silent,
At least until you can balance your thoughts and speak with a sense of love rather than stirring things up
Speaking in a tone of partnership rather than a tone of ownership, meaning you own them
No one wants to feel that, and if that is what is given that is what is received
Giving with heart brings hearts to you
Giving with love teaches love in groves
Giving with hope gives hope to all involved
Rewind your actions and take other roads
Speak a language that does not injure and you will as well find beauty in the other sides of actions
It is clear that when we are hurt we tend to hurt others
And when we heal, as we heal, there is enough healing to go around
All healing is, is doing the unexpected
Surprise yourself, and let what happens surprise you!
