Unopened Gifts

Finally a day to say

To remind ourselves

To remember

To speak out loud

How do I forgive myself

That is one unopened gift

How do I have compassion for myself

Yet another unopened gift

We speak in life, I have been able to forgive....another

I can now go on

Yet what is forgiveness?

How do you forgive yourself?

To forgive is to say I have not learned

Compassion will speak that you have learned

You see, it is not about forgiveness at all

Forgiveness says that you will overlook and get over something that hurt you

Whether you did it to yourself or to someone else

It is to say, that you have not learned the lesson so you will forgive the action

And then what?

Do you just go on forgiving forever and not going further as to why you are doing it or allowing someone else to do it to you?

Compassion to yourself, to others, to say, Yes, this happened, whatever it is, and we will learn from it

Compassion to understand the motives, the reasons and to say, I understand why you did this

Is there another way to get what you need

Without hurting yourself or others

In teaching children

There are three rules of discipline to follow

Don't hurt yourself

Don't hurt others

Don't damage or destroy property

That is truth for all of us

If we don't hurt ourselves, we actually do not have a need to hurt others

Damaging or destroying property is usually a byproduct of being hurt

When we forgive ourselves or others we are acknowledging we are hurt or hurt another

Compassion is the step after, we can't just stop at forgiving

Compassion reminds us of the human part, the part where we gain self understanding and love

With words like

I know you didn't mean that

I know you are hurt already

I can see now your intentions are good for me, or maybe they are not

Is this a safe place for me to grow

Or is this teaching me this is not the place for me to stay and learn of life

Forgiveness is like a power play or relief button

Compassion finds a soulution, and landing place, a mutual caring for what results in what has happened

Compassion is the way to get past anyone having to forgive anything

It is the place where we learn why, not just what

Where we see motivation rather than action only

Where we grow within ourselves, then someone else

Self accounting, self love, growth

It all starts in the solutions, not in the answers

Anyone can say yes or no

Yet the parts that say why are the growths

The parts that say why are the teachers

The moments of discovering are when you can go on and live past those moments

There is a vast difference between forgiveness and compassion

Compassion teaches love and forgiveness gives power to someone to grant it

Compassion soothes and grows and forgiveness is saying, I have forgiven you so many times, now what?

The crutches of living in doing and forgiving

Rather than speaking and learning

Breaks the cycle of not paying attention to yourself with excuses

And brings back the questions you had as a child

Why, is one of the greatest questions any child asks and doesn't stop until they find out

It is their happiness so that they can go out and play

They already understand that full disclosure is their freedom

Quietly as we "look" so much smarter than them

Look again, there is still an unopened gift under your tree

What A Spoon Can Tell You

When you walk past the sink, and it is clean

Are you the person who drops the spoon in

Or are you the one that walks by and cleans it

Do you only wash it if someone else is there

or do you leave it for someone else to take on your work

Are we really getting away with anything when we try not to do something

We try so hard to get out of this, get out of that

It is the truth as it is

You either do or you don't

Some wait until the sink is full

And others wash and dry as they go

Some keep the Oh I have to do this, to do that, before I can relax

When cleaning up as you go along

Cleans up your mind as you think along, speak to another, or even watch a program on TV

That spoon really tells its own story

Do you hold onto your stuff

Do you let it go

Do you take things on right off

Or do you wait until you have piled up so much stuff inside

And you keep waiting for the day to clean it all up at once

Do you just eat your best everyday

Or are you the one who will diet tomorrow and eat everything in sight today?

Are you a planner or does everything all of a sudden happen to you?

Each of these types of people, they are all of us

Trying to say one thing when we are another is our biggest bluff

And the blaming of others, for who we are, has also been the bigger bluff

Once you clean up as you go along

You are just telling yourself the truth as you live your life

and those who threw it in and walk right by it

Are the pilers of everything else

They will not tell you first off what they actually mean

And they will only come clean when they are caught

And maybe not even then

Start washing the spoon in the clean sink

And you will find, you start finishing all the little things that start to take on weight much sooner

When you walk by, stop yourself and remind yourself it is your job too

No using others for you

and you will stop running from tasks and either decide to do them or not

Honesty isn't so far away

It is as simple as a dirty spoon, you either clean it or you don't

Love isn't so far away

You either share it or you don't

Truth is always around
And Purity is the cleanliness of your soul

Clean the spoon, Clear your mind, and go on to the next thing

Clutter is man made, not a natural part of us

Clean purifies as you cleanse

Cleansing is the weightlessness of our days, our thoughts, and how we are with others

Anything else is the delaying of our self love, until we finish all our tasks that we walk by

Would You Know You?

Who would you be if no one you now know knew you?

What would you say about yourself?

What would you start with?

What would you say your hobby is?

What work you do?

How much you love it?

What it means to you, to your life to do what you do?

How could you see your intentions when you feel like you will die if things don't go your way?

How flexible are you to change of heart, of mind, when you are challenged?

Do you know who you are with Money and without it?

Are you generous when you are happy?

Are you mean when you are mad?

Do you think about the other persons point of view when you are in a disagreement?

Do you go out of your way to say thank you when you are thankful?

Is expressing yourself in times of argument easy for you?

When someone speaks to you, and tells you an observation of you

Do you get defensive or do you consider that they spoke this to you for good reason?

When you speak to someone, do you consider how you would respond to be spoken to in the same way?

These are a lot of questions

Questions of self definition

Of who you are inside and what it looks like on the outside

People are not blind, and never are we within ourselves

Sometimes it is just a matter of answering your own questions, that reminds you of who you are

Where you are when it comes to dealing with yourself, your life, and if you are just passing time

Or using time to grow your soul, in your truth, without trying to be something you are not yet ready to be

Or standing still too long before you act and then feeling like you can not catch up

Define yourself and you will see better what you are looking for

Wanting that comes from heart, rather than all the other reasons that leave us feeling unfulfilled

Trust in your ability to answer such questions

And Trust the rest will come as you go along

There is not ever only one answer

Yet only one answer will lead you to the rest

Who would you be if no one you now know knew you?

Tell yourself out loud as though you were speaking to another

Hear your words and find your truth in them

It is already there, waiting for you to notice

It is simply time to take on more of you

We always know when

It is just that we can't start anything

Without actually starting

Start with the questions and your mind will do the rest

All you need to do is plant the seed

The Music Of Love

One day we wake up singing

A song to a happy tune

Without a prompt or a reason

Without music or noise

Only the excitement of seeing you

Today we are getting married

Saying Yes to each other

without further ado

Love is the trail we followed

Learned each other in safety and grew

Let our ugly find itself, showed it to you

You said, Hey that's OK

I am still here for you

I learned me through you

You told me the truth

You speak to me, it is not only you

It is you and me, and we are two

There is strength in numbers

When the two are in truth

Someone to say to you

this works for me too

Love is not a show

or does it come with a map

Love's design is to teach us

And build life without holes, without traps

It is a place of safety

To speak that I am still OK

Even when I don't feel like it

Even when I am too tired to see my way

One of us is always leading

Learned partnership that way

Each day is an open conversation

Of all we can share and build, a story page by page

Nothing comes all at once

It would leave us dry and bored

Love comes in surprises

Of all we thought it could not be

Love is the surprise of our souls

When it show me, me

The more I can see of me

The more I find in you

The treasures of us as people

And adding the love in there too

Thank you for saying

when you do this it hurts me

It made me see you

and you taught me to care

As you show me how you care for you

I have learned to care for me

I find that the more I learn

I more I understand you

The greater my challenges

that eliminate the feelings of something I can not say

You opened the door of my soul

With your openness to me

You teach me to be

Without trying to be better than me

I realize there is nothing you could want

Other than to tell me the truth

I realize there is nothing I can give

Other than my purity to you

Love is invisible

Yet it is felt in its strength

It is the bond we can not see

Yet the bond of everyday

Love is not a person, a place or a thing

Love is my emotion, that I bring to each day

Love is my compass of where I go, and where I stay

Love is the open ended answer

As many questions as it presents

It is those very questions

Whose answers are fought for

And learned of

That teaches my soul

Its one main purpose

To love, honor, and live

In today, in the present

I stand before myself in completeness

As I see it in you

No fear in growing further

No lines drawn in the sand

No more saying what if....

It is here that I stand

I stand for us

The "us" we have become

The world that we built

With those that we love

The house that we fill

With our everyday of thoughts

The home that we carry

Everywhere we go

Love is not physical

You have taught me

Thank you, my love

My love's freedom

That I have come to see

Thank you, my love

We are an "us"

And still a "you" and a "me"

A Bottle of Hope

What does it look like when we have hope?

We walk faster

We talk more

We involve others

We try new things

We wear different colors

And we insist on trying until we succeed

We sing to songs

We listen to others

It is not so important that we are “right”

We need less sleep

We don't over eat

We exercise

And we say good morning

We listen to “happy” music

We dance while we are walking

We see someone who is having a bad day and we say we are sorry

We help someone who needs it

And we accept help when we need it

Hope is the promise of our souls capacity

Hope is the reason we remember why we are alive

Hope is the person who reminds us

That Hope is always nearby

Hope reminds us that love is available

As hope is the purpose of our actions

Whatever it is that we hope for,

We are in hope when we feel promise

Promise of ourselves in our highest honor

Honor of actions and what they may mean

Hope is the rainbow after the rain

The cool drink on a hot day

The right words as you needed them

The smell of something baking while you are asleep

The bath where you actually sit in the water

The moment you walk by someone you haven't seen in years

The check that comes in the mail you didn't expect

The willingness to understand if something doesn't work out

Hope is the basis, the reason

That we have an incentive to grow on

To say I'll try

To change directions

And to know ourselves well enough to say no when we are stretching ourselves too thin

Hope is not being scared when the check is not in the mail

Someone we thought was right for us isn't and we understand why

And the love of self enough to know all of these things are simply a part of life

Hope is alive as we are alive

Hope is the possibilities of our hearts

Given a forum to test, push and pull the best of ourselves

And find the depth in which we can be

Think Love, Create Love

As Love starts to teach you
Who you are
When you think of sharing your home, your heart, your family
It tells you the best of you
As you present it all new
To a person that you feel love to
In a way that you always do

Love is not fantasy
Nor is it reality
Love is between both
That is the excitement of it all

When you think of love
Do you notice how you are in the best thoughts of who you are?

Some of us wait for new love to feel such open feelings towards ourselves
As though it is the only way we can feel it
Getting to the truth of things, you can feel this on your own
You see, love is love is love

There isn't one kind of love
Love is so open, it is in everything
That feeling of presenting your life to someone new
It is already present

As you build your life with love for yourself
That love, that excitement, that truth of you put out there
It gets to be present
And when it is present
It attracts those who are of love in that way too

Who understand that Love is love is love
That Love is a part of their every day
That anyone who comes to them leaves with love
That the more complete they already are
The more complete those that are attracted to them are

Everyone is attracted to a person who is already love
Already happy
Young children
Elders
Pets
And all other people

You start wondering what is different about you
And it is the new feeling of love, all the time
The belief that you are capable to have love
Simply to know it enough to feel it in heart
To live it in form
To stand within yourself
And understand it is a state of mind
And acceptance of heart
And lost ego to humble truths
That love is for all of us, even you

No one left out
Knowing Love doesn't replace challenge
It just makes it easier
That love gives answers that anger or feeling lacks of love can not see
Love is the freedom
Of your thinking and the compassion of your heart unto yourself
It is the opening of giving yourself a break
And the Love that comes with that knowing that you are OK

Even you, seems so far away at time
Love doesn't know the words, even you, even me, No to this or that
Love finds a way to say Yes
Yes to life, Yes to sharing, Yes to understanding
That love is simply life when it is understood and happy
Love is that smile you can't help
And the truth of why we are here
To learn to let go
Enough to open your heart
To follow the flow
Of love in life
That isn't meant to let go of even you!

Never Mind Why, Simply Do What is Right

It doesn't take explanation to do what is right
To do what makes things better
To say what needs to be said

Either side of the coin
When things are tough, tell the truth
When things are not, tell the truth

There is no sense in creating stories to make things seem more exciting
The excitement is in how much you love it, telling it that way
And giving someone else a chance to live it with you too

We always think everything has to be bigger, better or worth hearing
That we have to have a punchline or a reason for saying something

It is so much simpler than that
Tell the truth from your heart
And your heart will do the rest

When there is a moment where telling the truth
Is something you do not want to do
It has nothing to do with the other person at all

Ask yourself, why is it that you feel like you can not?
Why is your safety an issue?
Is your self esteem unable to accommodate truth?
Is lying something you want to carry around?
Do you want to create distance between you and the other person?
Do you not have respect for yourself enough to simply speak and grow on?
Do you prefer the dramas of lying that cause you to not trust others?

Most who do not tell the truth
Think others are lying
Are the ones who accuse others of doing things, being things they are not
Do not like to discuss details
Nor do they enjoy the fruits of self accountability

They are the ones who fear their positions
Their posts in life
That their charminess will wear out
That their cover will be blown
That maybe they are a fraud altogether

They will claim to have everything under control,
As if they had to
They will tell you how great they are
As if you needed to hear that

When someone speaks with their heart
they even allow for those who don't
Time to speak, and hear themselves talk
Simply because they already believe they will speak from the heart
And when they find out that is not what is happening
They start feeling used, without words or actions yet

As time passes and you are in a relationship
You start to realize that the other person doesn't pay attention to you they way you do to them
That when THEY are happy you are OK, when THEY are NOT, you are in Trouble
The balance shifts to their moods and the one with heart accommodating the one who speaks in exaggerations of truth and you are left realizing that maybe you have chosen a person who lives in the illusions of their truth and it all is not so real

Getting to know another person is for these reasons alone
Is this a person you can depend on
Does this person bring you peace and joy
Warmth or comfort
Or are you more fractured with them and more whole without them

A job, a friend, a partner, a spouse
All the souls who find their way to us
Teach us who we are by what we do not accept from them
They Hone us into speaking up
Fighting for our own souls
Making our way without questions as to what is right or wrong,
however, what we are RIPE enough to learn

We can only learn what we are ready for
And others may serve as a catalyst for such learning's
Or they may be a soul we are meant to share much more of ourselves with and life with

We try to make everything "forever"
yet there is no time
There is a bigger picture
And some things are meant to teach us for a moment
And others are meant to carry us for a lifetime

Accept life for the challenges it gives you
And you will see that life will always have a challenge for you
It will always always remain and be
Your level of understanding
And your willingness to learn that will carry you
Once you can see that
The turmoil's of what to do, how to be, what to say, and what not to say are already answered

Our energy proceeds us
And we speak without speaking words
Trust in the bigger picture of our purpose can carry you through the moments of indecision
Clairty of your purpose
Knowledge of your soul
Understanding that you are not meant to be everywhere at once
Gives you the basis and understanding that you WANT to be where you at least choose to be
And the places you choose to be will allow you to experience them whole

Choose Love

Walk away from those who let you down
Walk away from those who do not care that they hurt your feelings
Walk away from those who set you up
From those you know will talk about you if you mess up

Learn to walk away, rather than prove anyone wrong
It only takes your energy into the black hole they have created for you to fall within

You are allowed to say NO
You are allowed to find Love
You are allowed to find peace
You are entitled to enjoy your time

We forget that we can say NO
To what hurts our energy and takes away our speed
That which reminds us of failure rather than our hearts success
We are all as successful as we see ourselves
We are all as weak as we believe others will speak of us

We must remember that those that talk about us
are only doing so from their own weakness and their desire to weaken others with them
So that they will not be alone in the below the radar behaviors they take on
To caste worry, fear and doubt to anothers soul

We must take part in our hearts desire to take care of ourselves
By allowing what we love to enter our thoughts rather than just the one person who keeps finding a way to challenge it
Your challenge is to challenge that energy and realize that anyone who can take you away from you, you need to take yourself away from

You can attempt, however learn from your attempts
And learn that you can run, not walk away, when you begin to understand you are depleting rather than building
That you are not of true benefit to this soul, nor are they to you
That you can learn from each other at a distance
Rather than the closeness that has come to rob you both of yourselves

Love gives
When giving is not present neither is love
Choose Love
And Love will find a way for you
Love is the can opener of every can you have stored in your cabinet
Some have been there for years
Go back and let them open and those that have expired
Accept that they have and go on
That is one of the paths of self love that opens you up to less storage and greater freedom of your soul
Choose your Soul
And there you will find your true movement
Your content
And your willingness to go forward

Blueprint for Life

What we need:

We need a political party that represents both the poor and the rich
We need credit cards that are not designed to keep you in debt
We need mortgages that are simple and clear and no fine print
I am thinking no fine print on the credit cards either

We need less pressure to have more work in a day
And more pressure to balance time to work, sleep, eat, and sit with your family
We need more pressures to complete tasks without so many steps
Be able to have a doctor to go to
Buy all the food that we need
Go to a Library to read

We need more pressure to build our neighborhoods,
Know our neighbors
Say Hello with nothing more to say

We need moments to catch up and rejuvenate
Leaders that we can depend on
Jobs we can grow in
Homes we can keep forever if we want to

We need streets that we all keep clean
Area's our children can play in without fear within the parent or the child
Homes that aren't behind iron gates

We need water we can drink
Streets without litter
People not living on streets
Care for those who can not care for themselves

We need to stop the blame
That someone who isn't ahead does not deserve time or a chance to gain ground
That people who need help are not to be walked by
That people who can help don't believe it is a choice

We need the love inside of us to not accept what is not working in our lives
We need to hear politics that makes actual sense, without explanation
Without fine print
Without loyalty to any party
However loyalty to US, people

People are a party
People are a race
People are of religion
People need food
People need homes
People need learning institutions
People need each other
People need love

There is no soul on Earth more important than another
When we can come to the thoughts that anyone is here by mistake or isn't worthy of what People need or want
Then we have lost already

There is no Them, since everyone is a them to someone
There is only an US, since we all share this same place called Earth
It includes US, Animals and Nature
And everything else is only a reflection of our needs, wants and desires

When you look around and find something to complain about
Look around again and find something you can do
That is balance
Pick up trash that you see when you can
Smile to another and remind them WE are here, there is not really a me and a you
Remember that there is no way anyone can do this alone
There is no way any leadership can work without people, nor can people find order without some kind of leadership

We each have a job to do,
We have a job to live and experience and grow
Yet we spend so much time trying not to change, to keep everything the same
Yet nothing is really meant to stay the same
It is meant to evolve and allow itself to find greater growths in each day

Most of our frustrations come when we feel we haven't done enough
Or we have done too much and no one notices

It is simply important that you notice
You see, if you notice, it can only be shared
And all the sharing of what you see, can only be felt
And feeling drives our actions
And ignites another

Anything can happen
As love finds a way to propel
That is how it is when you are thinking something
And then one day see it on TV,
Or hear another speaking about it

We are one
We hear it, we say it, and we can now learn how to be it
Everything has a blueprint and we are the blueprint of life

Life is the answer to why we are here
Living is how we do it
Awareness is how we know what to do
And love is the fuel of it all

Love is our true leadership
Love is our stem
And Love is our search
Keep loving and you have already begun the movement
The movement of living life as you can dream it
And dream it as your life gives you answers
And answers keep you thriving for more

Don't Be True to Me, Be True to You

You tell me about yourself by what you say you do
If you ask me not to tell another something,
You ask that of someone else too

If I see you lie to another person
You most likely lie to me too

If you wash your hands before you eat
I know you wash everything else too

If you are OK with taking something that isn't yours
You will take me for what isn't yours

If you talk about others
Then you talk about me too

You see it isn't what you confide in me
Confidences need not be
Open and free is truth
Truth doesn't need an introduction
Or a premise or a thought

Truth just is
Just was
Will always be

You are not any different in front of me
Than behind me, when there is truth

We ask of each other many things
One thing I ask of myself

To tell you the truth
So that you know I am truthful
To treat you with respect,
Then you know I am respectful

To clean up after myself
So that you know to clean up after you
To leave you feeling clair
So that you know my intentions are clear

You see we learn a lot from each other
As we hear, see, and take part of each other
And we react to each other from that truth we see

Take part in your life
So that you can take part in anothers

Your children don't hear you as loud as they see you
Your friends can see you for what you have done, rather than what you say you have done
Your parents know who you are, rather than who they think you are
And your heart knows your truth no matter what you try to say

Truth is here
It waits for us to be it
We wait for us to know it
We say we are looking for it,
Yet it is here, and you already know of it

So use truth instead of using excuses to evade it
Let truth lead you rather than what you want to be truth
No need to take non truths and make them true
Stop wasting your time
Stop taking away from something that is already in front of you
And creating drama's to prove your point

With truth there is no point, there is only acknowledgment
Evading truth is like waiting for a train that is not coming
Use the clues of your life to bring you to speaking the truth for what it is
Because once you are true to you, you can be true to me

Once you start speaking with your heart
I want to be in your heart too
Once you start cleaning around yourself, I will clean with you
Once you cook a meal with clean hands, you will feed everyone

Wash your life with truth and let truth create THE PATH
There is not a path, truth is THE PATH
Anything else finds a way of leaving us feeling shortchanged and hungry
Truth is the breath of our souls
And the soul of your breaths
As you can share your heart when you feel it's purity
As your purity is the most becoming feature of any of us

Shopping for Love

What do you get when you give?
What do you give to get?
When you give it is a feeling of exhilaration that is addicting and self growing
It is like that plant that doesn't even need water to grow

I was walking into a store the other day
And a lady was on the ground dragging herself to a bag
She had fallen and she was too heavy to get up
At first she seemed like she had a method so I was just going to go into the store
Then I saw her dragging herself and I was wondering if that is just how she got out of her car and did her business

But then I was just curious so I went to her and asked her if she needed help.
she told me that her daughter was going to come out of the store in a minute, that she is in line
That she walked out of the store and was holding onto a pole to hold herself up
And that she let go of the pole and she fell

So I asked her if I can get her daughter or help her up
She told me we would have to find a big man to do that
Then her daughter came out and when she saw her mother on the floor she ran to her and asked her what happened.
She didn't seem to expect her there

The daughter and I both managed to get her to her feet again
And they were both so grateful
So I was about to leave and they asked me my name
Before I could tell them
The relief on their faces was the very relief I felt to have helped them

It was the smallest of things, yet it was bigger than me at the same time
I got tears in my eyes and I couldn't tell them my name
I was just silent and they were staring at me

It took me a minute and then I could speak my name
I walked away as though someone cleansed me
Like making this very small difference to people I would most likely never see again

It made everything I thought about my own life as new as it felt to fall into this family's circle unexpectedly
It reminded me how much we care about each other without thinking of it
And it is when we think too much that we start playing the taking away game from ourselves

So I went to the store and didn't find what I went there for
A little later that day I was thinking about not finding what I went there for
When it occurred to me that I found exactly what I went there for

That when we go to a store we are buying love of some kind to ourselves
And that lady on the sidewalk was the love that day
I left more fulfilled than anything I could have purchased
More cleansed and appreciative of people

We forget sometimes how much emotion there is when we touch each other in this way
How good it feels to share a strength we may have more than another
And accept their strength when ours is not with us
We build a wall that makes us think we are not in need

We are all needy and it has nothing to do with food or money
It has to do with our emotions catching up to the other advances in our lives

A Glimpse of Self Love

Are you scared to love me?
Does it show that I am scared to love you?
Maybe it is because I don't know how to love me either?

I have been trying to figure out how to love myself
for many years now
I still am not sure what that looks like to say, I love me, I love you too

When I don't love me the most
I get scared that you won't love me either
When I love me the most
I know you will be with me forever

I use to think of loving myself as selfish
Then I use to think it was all in my ego to do that
Then I realized when I was happy inside, selfish and ego weren't an issue
That I just wanted to spend time with you because I love you
Again when I was happy

And then I wake up and I am not so sure how I feel
And I take it out on you
Accusing you of things that were OK the day before
I found out when I am not happy, you will not be happy with me either
As I try to take it out on you so I don't have to face me

How do I love me?
So that I can love you
I was sitting on the floor one morning
On my way to an important meeting
And across from me was a mirror

I took a quick glance only to see myself sitting on the floor tying my shoe
When I looked up, I didn't see me, I saw a person, sitting on the floor, tying their shoe
It was a weird moment, however I realized I WAS a person
I stared at myself from a distance
I realized I looked like the people I see, not the person I know

I started talking to myself
I told myself,
You have a big meeting today,
I wish you well

When I said that I started to cry
It felt so good to care about me
Like the words of a dear friend
I continued talking

As I cried, I said, I am going to take care of you my friend
I am your friend
I see you wake up everyday, rush to get ready,
Yet I realized I never really see you at all

I am sorry I never looked
I judge you so harshly
And you are just making a way for yourself,
What ever that is

I promise to do right by you
From this moment forward
I will understand when you don't think you have done well that you have done your best
And I also promise not to hurt you more with the words in my head that take away from me
I will remind myself that you did your best and maybe it was not meant to be for you

I also promise that when things are going great to let you enjoy those moments for what they are
A part of life that keeps you motivated to do the rest of it
And I will remind myself that every purpose has a challenge and every challenge has a purpose
And that we are a team, My Heart, My Soul and My Mind

I will do right by you,
I will not let myself forget that you care and that I care
As my Heart and Soul spoke to my Mind
I realized still that I am one, yet at times there feels like there are two of me
One that loves and one that is harder on me than anyone I know

I sat on that floor and saw myself new that day
I got up and left feeling like I have a partner within myself
That I can be whole and awake to my actions
That I can do right by myself

And with that, that I understand what it means to do right by others too
They ARE me and I AM them
Just as I have the voice in my head that either cheers me on or stops me in my tracks
Joining myself with myself,
Gives me the path to join myself with you
I can love you more when I know what it feels like to love me more

Love can only propel once it knows that it is there

Love's Soulvation

You can't know nice until you are nice
You can't know beautiful until you feel beautiful
You aren't happy for others until you feel happy yourself

You don't see the effort of others until you put forth an effort yourself
You won't acknowledge anothers success until you have felt a sense of success yourself
It's hard to have appreciation for anything if you never had to live without it

We can not know how it is to starve when we can't decide what to eat
We can not see a heart until we can feel our own
We can not extend a hand, until a hand has been extended to us

When we know something, then we can share it
We need examples from each other to see how effective it is to share who we are, what we feel
If one of us does something, someone else immediately learns, feels, understands its worth

We are one, we hear this and hear it
WE are one when it comes to respect
To dignity
To feel like someone notices
That someone really cares

It grows our belief that everything has good in it
That when we are angry and someone puts their hand on our back and says it will be OK
That is better than virtual slaps on the face with words and gestures that do nothing but give us reasons to let go

Take your initial reaction to a situation
And do the opposite
Instead of saying You did this or that, said this or that
Say, thank you for showing me what it feels like to take on your anger,
You must really be mad, although it is not obvious why
You are unkind to me, because you already feel it about somewhere else
I know you don't mean what you just said
I am sorry you are having a bad day

It sounds like a lot to say, however it is not
Think it, and it will come to the surface in your actions
All you have to say in truth is, I know you don't mean that
Sometimes that is all you need to say

And leave it to the other person to find in themselves their own motivations
and they can learn that, and have a moment to think about whatever it is in their heart
That is being a teacher
That is showing love when we don't know if we can
This is one way to do it
This is one way to care

WE think we need to wait for a good day to do better
No more wasting time
Time is not relevant when it comes to love
